danaus plexippus

Danaus plexippus is a mobile video-object in which the places seen are passing landscapes, links between here and there, the visitor operates this flux, through the displacement of the object in the exhibition space, interacting with same, overlapping real and virtual images.

Suspended image, floating surface which multiplies in the physical space to beyond its obvious limit, interlacing who sees and what is seen.

The element that establishes this link is a butterfly flying, landing, interacting with the exterior/exposition space. It is a video object that explores new techniques of projection, immersion and interaction. The visitor sees, only through the glass of the object, the image projected by the optic phenomenon of reflection overlaying the real image, constructing a new reality.

This same phenomenon of reflection can be proved by the interactors passing through space with the object.
